Sand-sledding

If you’re going to central Vietnam, make sure you don’t miss out on an adventure in sand! The sand dunes of Mui Ne is a must go to if you’re looking for a fun experience with your friends and family. The sand dunes are located not too far from Mui Ne’s beaches, so the best time to visit would be early morning or late afternoon after a dip in the beach when the sand is not too hot.

 

Take a holiday within a holiday

For the sun, sand & sea lovers, a trip to the seaside town, Hoi An should be on your agenda. Hoi An is known for its great food, fun shopping, skilled tailors, friendly people and cozy atmosphere. Among the heritage architecture stand Chinese temples, a Japanese-designed bridge, pagodas, wooden shop-houses, French- colonial houses and old canals!

 

Take a ship or a helicopter ride

The Halong Bay is a beautiful natural wonder in northern Vietnam near the Chinese border. The bay is like something right out of a movie. The fact is that Halong Bay features a wide range of biodiversity, while the surrealistic scenery has indeed featured in endless movies. If budget is not a problem, an hour-long helicopter transfer is also available.

 

Go Tunneling!

Located an hour and a half from central Ho Chi Minh City, the Tunnels of Cu Chi give visitors a first-hand look at life as a Viet Cong during the View Nam war. The Viet Cong literally lived underground in over 75 miles of interconnected tunnels and rooms, including a hospital, armory, kitchen and (of course) toilets!

 

Go to Prison!

Bet this is something you don’t hear every day, or anytime you go on vacation! However, if you fancy a bit of history, we think you ought to make a visit to Hoa Lo, a prison built by the French in 1886 to house political prisoners during their occupation of Vietnam.  Nevertheless, the Hoa Lo Prison is worth a visit, if only to experience the colonial experience as the Vietnamese see fit to tell it, and guess at the stories untold by the silent walls and shackles on prominent display.
