2013 is looking good, with a little help from the celebs..
It’s the start of a brand new year – the perfect time to refresh your look. A little bit of makeup can go a long way, and a new hairstyle is sure to make an impression. There’s no better source of inspiration than the celebs, so we’ve taken a peek at what some of our favourite ones have done to keep their look fresh.

Happy New Year. Stay beautiful.

High-end style

Hair: When it comes to creating a sleek look, there’s nothing better for your hair than a stylish topknot, and it couldn’t be easier to achieve. Simply iron your hair and pull it together. Add a little gloss, using your favourite hairspray, and you’re good to go. Remember to go easy on the spray; you don’t want your hair going too stiff.

Make-up: Draw attention to your eyes by applying dark eye shadow, with black eyeliner. In contrast, keep it soft on your lips and cheeks, with peachy lipstick and blusher. This will give you a natural face-lift and show off your cheekbones.

Wild curls

Hair: Be bold and daring in 2013, with big, bouncy curls. It’s a wild look that’s sure to make an impression. You’ll need to set your hair in large, hot rollers, placed about an inch apart. Then brush them out for a sexy, billowy look. Before brushing, remember to pop some light-hold hairspray onto your hairbrush – this will prevent static.

Make-up: To complete the ultimate bold and daring look, apply some bright red lippy and outrageous black eyelashes. It’s a great look for nights out. And remember to pop your lipstick in your handbag – you may need to reapply it as the night goes on.

Undone coif

Hair: Keep it cool in 2013, with a relaxed and casual updo hairstyle. It’s a bit like a bun, but with a messy touch to it. To get the look, tie a ponytail on top of your head, twist it into a bun and secure it with bobby pins. To create a roughed-up texture, mist the bun with hairspray and scrunch it between your fingers. Remember not to scrunch too much or it will look overly messy.

Make-up: Apply a dark eye shadow, for a dramatic, smoky effect. Add a pale or nude lipstick to complete this gorgeous look.
