Since the outset, cotton has been the most used fiber in SPLASH Product. A fashion staple present in nearly every wardrobe, cotton reigns supreme. What's not to like? Cotton grows naturally, is breathable, lightweight, soft, and elegant, and the cotton we use in Splash product is sustainably grown and sourced as well.

But despite our love for cotton, conventional methods of growing cotton are damaging to the environment and to people involved in cotton cultivation.

Typically cotton crop takes 150-180 days to grow and require millions of people to work daily for its cultivation. Across the globe, these very cultivators labor endlessly for hours and days to produce our staple fiber, and what bothers the most is that they are all vulnerable to even the tiniest change in economic, environmental, and social conditions.

 

 

We respect the people as much as we respect the environment, and with such conscience we partnered with BCI to improve cotton farming globally.

Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) is a non-profit organization dedicated to developing efficient cotton cultivation practices. It is the world's leading initiative for cotton sustainability whose sole mission is to help cotton communities survive and thrive while protecting and restoring the environment.

The Better Cotton Initiative trains the cotton farmers to use water efficiently, care for soil health and natural habitats, reduce use of the most harmful chemicals and respect workers’ rights and wellbeing. This way we ensure a healthy farmer and a healthy planet.
